Required Training for Boy Scout Leaders
Course For Whom Pre-Requisites Content & Duration Dates Offered
Boy Scout Leader Fast Start Any new leader, committee member or parent None Video that provides an overview of the responsibilities of leaders and committee. (30 minutes per position) Usually offered by the Troop
Youth Protection Training All leaders, committee members and parents. None Focus on protecting our youth and leaders. (2 hours)  Offered as part of New Leader Essentials Training

 The month of April is 
National Youth Protection Month
Troop Committee Training (NEW!) Troop Committee Members None Workshop attended by the entire committee. Can be offered by the troop or the District.
New Leader Essentials Training Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters (other leaders and parents who are going to camp with the troop) Boy Scout Leader Fast Start Covers the basics for running a Boy Scout Troop. One evening, one Saturday and one weekend of camping. All three sessions required.   See Schedule
