Camping Demo PACK 475 Reminder that Troop 474 is providing a camping demonstration to Pack 475 at Guilford Lakes at 7:00 tomorrow Tuesday 10/25. Sean, Caleb & Robbie were going to contact patrol leaders to remind them and patrol leaders were going to remind the guys in their patrol about the evening. We plan to have stations dens and interested parents can tour. The work stations are to include; 1.1 Back Packs and back packing as the primary theme of the night ( with other things too) 1.2 Established camp site with set up back packing tent 1.3 Sleeping bags…assortment of synthetic & goose down bags rated for all kinds of temperature, compression sacks 1.4 Special gear…water pumps, backpacking stoves, lanterns, cook gear, mess kit, nalogene bottles… 1.5 Resources….books, maps and assorted reference materials 1.6 Possibly might even roll in a kayak & or canoe ? 1.7 PowerPoint slide show running in a loop…474 back packing and canoeing, winter camping events 1.8 Ropes and climbing gear??? Sean Hickey, Adam Clark, Matt Pecoraro, consider this as you did for pack 472 last year?
If you have special gear you want to bring down, feel free to do so. At a minimum, bring down your back pack and any special gear/tent you would like to show. The troop already will be bring down a great deal of the basics
