BSA Troop 474 10/14 MEETING AT 1st Cong Church

  1. Meeting tomorrow night Thursday 10/14 is at First Congregational Church as usual. Those who attended last week’s meeting at the fire house will get the Fire safety & Awareness merit badge…take it!
  2.  Please bring your Fire Safety & Awareness books issued last week for a final  review led by senior scouts and patrol leaders.
  3.  Tomorrow meeting will also include Troop Gear Inspection…set up troop tents for inspection
PLEASE RETURN ALL TROOP GEAR YOU HAVE BY BRINGING  THE STUFF TO THIS MEETING. SNOW SHOES, TENTS, COOKING POTS, TROOP GARAGE, BRING IT BACK FOR OUR TROOP QUARTER MASTER ADAM CLARK.

  4. We will want to hear from those who went to Gettysburg this past weekend History learned is important. Also those who  participated in the cooking merit badge will want to be heard from (assuming  they have recovered from the 9 savory meals they prepared.)  Thank you Mr. Aery for leading the cooking merit badge. Than you Mr. Laird for organizing the weekend!!!
  5. Canoe trip is scheduled for November 6th. Those interested should see Mr. Acampora. Sign up sheet will be available tomorrow night.
  6. Popcorn sales are due 10/29…see Mrs. Laudano  Remember 1/3 of the proceeds go into your scout account to buy scout gear
  7. Guilford Community Center Halloween Game Room on 10/24 is being run by the Clark family. Who’s gold fish are still alive from last year?  Volunteers will be needed. Who needs community service???...everyone needs community service! Thank You Mr. & Mrs. Clark.
  8. Court of Honor is 10/28…get your blue cards into the Honorable Mr. Chris Town in advance enough for him to process the paperwork. Last minute   submissions are not fair to Mr. Town and leave you with the risk of not being awarded the merit badge until next CoH. Thank you Mr. Town for your tireless efforts.
  9. Congratulations to Mr. William Laudano who was unanimously voted in as Troop 474 Committee Chairman. Mr. Laudano brings to our Troop  high standard traditional family values along with more than 1000 years of scouting experience (seriously a lot). We are grateful to have a leader like Mr. Laudano in the chair. Mr. Ingraham announced his resignation last spring confirmed recently. We are forever grateful to Mr. Ingraham for his many years of service as Troop 474 Committee Chairman. Whether you know it or not, his impact has been huge. We are forever grateful to him for his many years of humble and effective service to scouting and the families of troop 474. God Bless Mr. Ingraham.
  10. Congratulations to Mr. Louis Federici  (AKA “Big Lou”) who was overwhelmingly approved as High Exalted Mystic Ruling Camping, High Adventure & Wood Duck Chairman. Big Lou is known to be genius. Seriously Mr. Federici has  849 years of outdoor high adventure experience who is certainly not afraid to reasonably push scouts to their higher limits.  For example Mr. Feds was responsible for organizing our 5 day 40 mile 10 mountain peak trek in the NH  White Mountains this past summer.  Thank you  Mr. Federici.
