Most likely parking a lot on route 202 in Montebello, and hiking to Pine Meadow Lake where we will set up camp. Pine Meadow lake is one of my favorite spots, I first camped their 35 years ago. The lake was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) during 1933 and 1934. The plan was to build a resort, the resort was never built however some plumbing and foundations are still in place from then.

FOOD: Menus, food purchases and cooking will be prepared by the scouts in a patrol fashion. Once the crew is determined patrols will be formed.

GEAR AND CLOTHING:

Class A shirt and neckerchief must be worn while traveling in the car. We will leave the shirts in the car while backpacking. More complete gear list will be assembled prior to trip.
