Lighthouse District Scouters
Here’s an update on the Camporee, October 7th, 8th,
and 9th at
Everyone should wear a Class A uniform shirt or a Class A uniform.
Some service will be expected of us – probably parking cars.
If your Troop has radios, they will be helpful.
The program keeps growing. This will be a celebration of
nature and Native American Culture featuring Native American music, dance, and
art with performances by Kenny Merrick, Jr. and the Mystic River Singers, a
well-known drum and song group, and the renowned native flutist, Joseph Fire
Crow. Native dance exhibitions will be presented, followed by round dancing for
spectators. There will be an Archeological Dig by Connecticut State
Archeologist Nicholas Bellantoni and Exhibits by Mohegan Sun,
Admission is $5 per person. Children 10 and under will be admitted without charge. Parking and entrance to the park are free.
The Friends of Hammonasset and the
Let’s have fun and do a good turn for a great cause.
