A.  ANNOUNCEMENTS

2.      11/18 Friday at 7:00 pm Camping Demonstration for Pack 472 at Melissa Jones School 474 Volunteers are needed. There will be stations covering fully set up camp site, sleeping bags types, backpacking, books-maps-resources, stoves-H2O pumps-cookware -various misc. gear, climbing?, slide show of 474 trips, kayak. Good opportunity for Den Chiefs. Everyone is needed. Please come & bring gear.

 

3.      11/12 & 13 TURKEY ROAST – Good Food & Good Fun. –Oral Report needed: Thanks to all who participated. Thanks to Mr. Aery and his Dutch Oven pie making workshop! Thanks Mr. Hickey, Terwilliger & Clark for manning the birds. Thanks Mr. Acampora/Conrad/VanSteenbergen for the wood. Special recognition to Chris McCloskey, Caleb Dudley, Adam Clark & Sean Hickey for their leadership by example. Good to see Jon Dudley!!!

 

4.      12/3&4 – Camp out & hike – Either CT or MA venue still being developed. Leader – Mr. Federici put it on your calendar.

 

5.       POPCORN SALES are all in.  Thank you Mrs Laudano

6.       ATTENTION ALL DEN CHIEFS – Matt McGregor is Troop Guide-Senior Den Chief. Matt should identify DC’s and organize part of a Thursday night meeting to review, lead direct efforts of the DC’s. Attention DC’s, it is your responsibility to make arrangements directly with  Mr. McCloskey Cub Master Pack 475 or Mr. Conrad Cub Master Pack 472 regarding the den(s) you will serve. In order for you to satisfy this as being a Troop position, you will need to attend MANY of the weekly Den meetings, MOST of the monthly Pack Meetings, and the Blue & Gold/Cross Over at the end of the year. Periodically you present a BRIEF written & or oral report to the Troop, Mr. P., Mr. McCloskey & Mr. Conrad regarding your efforts. TEACH THE OATH, THE LAW, HOW TO TIE SIMPLE KNOTS LIKE SQUARE KNOT, DO A UNIFORM INSPECTION, EXPLAIN THE MEANING OF THE PATCHES ON YOUR UNIFORMS AND MORE. At your Eagle Board of Review, you will need to explain what you did as Den Chief.  Belonging to Troop 474, you are rich in outdoor adventures and community service. Cubs admire you and are lucky to have a 474 den chief.

7.      BSA Troop 474 Christmas Band- Get ready for the December performances. Thank you Mrs. Clark for conducting the 474 orchestra in December.

8.      Katrina Relief – BSA Troop 562 of Slidell Louisiana Funds have been raised. Final tally will be reported in the next week or so when the letter goes out.
