10.  ATTENTION ALL DEN CHIEFSMatt McGregor has stepped forward to serve a leadership role as Troop Guide-Senior Den Chief. By way of the roster, Matt should identify DC’s and organize part of a Thursday night meeting to review, lead direct efforts of the DC’s. Attention DC’s, it is your responsibility to make arrangements directly with  Mr. McCloskey Cub Master Pack 475 or Mr. Conrad Cub Master Pack 472 regarding the den(s) you will serve. In order for you to satisfy this as being a Troop position, you will need to attend MANY of the weekly Den meetings, MOST of the monthly Pack Meetings, and the Blue & Gold/Cross Over at the end of the year. From time to time I suggest you present a BRIEF written & or oral report to the Troop, Mr. P., Mr. McCloskey & Mr. Conrad regarding your efforts. TEACH THESE GUYS THE OATH, THE LAW, HOW TO TIE SIMPLE KNOTS LIKE SQUARE KNOT, DO A UNIFORM INSPECTION, EXPLAIN THE MEANING OF THE PATCHES ON YOUR UNIFORMS AND MORE. At your Eagle Board of Review, you will need to explain what you did as Den Chief. Titles are meaningless unless you do something with them. Cubs admire you. Belonging to Troop 474, you are rich in outdoor adventures and community service. You have crawled many miles over many mountains and have gotten wet in many lakes & rivers…they are lucky to have a den chief from 474. Make these cubs want to be scouts and join Troop 474!!!! Be prepared to report in.

11. Katrina Relief – Patrol Leaders organize your guys to contribute $5 out of your scout accounts to Katrina Relief. Tell the Honorable Mr. Heinemann, Treasurer to arrange the $5 deduction. This is painless.
