A.         September 11 Ceremony Led by SPL’s  and Chaplain Aid . This is not political, don’t make it political. Three years ago 3000 innocent moms, dads, brothers, sisters, friends and children died because evil people performed evil acts of terror. More people died that day then at Pearl Harbor, however this act involved few military people. These were innocent people going to work and play celebrating American Freedom. Celebrate our lives, our freedom, our families, our country, our God. Live each day responsibly as if it were our last, keeping important things in perspective. Continue to live and celebrate our happy days of camping on this earth…

B.        9/11 Day of Caring Community Service - Sign Up Sheet

IN OBSERVANCE OF THE DAY OF CARING, SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 11TH 2004, THE "FRIENDS OF BITTNER TRAILS" IN COOPERATION WITH THE PARK & RECREATION DEPARTMENT WILL SPONSOR A TRAIL WORK EVENT AT BITTNER PARK FROM 9 AM TO 1 PM.     THERE WILL BE SEVERAL DIFFERENT PROJECTS FOR PARTICIPANTS TO CHOOSE FROM INCLUDING: TRAIL RELOCATION, TRAIL CLEARING, WATER BAR INSTALLATION, AND INVASIVE PLANT REMOVAL. PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BRING WORK GLOVES, AND ONE OR MORE OF FOLLOWING: RAKE, SHOVEL, PRUNING OR BOW SAW, LOPPERS, PRUNERS, PICK AXE, WHEELBARROW. 
MEET AT THE REAR PARKING AREA, NEAR THE ROLLER SPORTS COMPLEX.

C.        9/16 Meeting Green Bar Meeting at Pecoraro House 7:00 Senior Patrol Only. All Other patrols should meet on their own at house to be determined at tonight’s meeting. Patrol Leaders with help of Ass’t Scoutmasters, please take charge

D.        9/25-26 Back Pack Trip  - Sign Up Sheet to understand interest. Beginner backpackers are welcome. Equipment can be borrowed, we have troop tents… see sign up sheet

E.        October Theme will be Fire Awareness /Safety. Guilford Fire Department and 474 are coming together to help you earn Fire Awareness & Safety  merit badge. Thank You to GFD & Explorer Post c/o of our SPL’s

H.        October Court of Honor to be announced – Thanks Honorable Mr. Town

I.            Bike trips, we need bike trips, even just day trips.

J.         November Theme  - First Aid Guilford Fire Department and 474 are coming together to help you  with First Aid. Thank You to GFD & Explorer Post c/o our SPL’s

A.      Sort out Patrols and Positions see roster hand out. Generally patrols are to stay in tact except high school students move to Senior Patrol. Any swapping must be cleared with Mr. Pecoraro.
