A.  ANNOUNCEMENTS

1.      Go to www.troop474.org  for schedule, event descriptions, photos, resources, neat stuff

2.      Guilford Keeping Society needs Troop 474. Thanks Troop Guide Alex Laudano for taking charge! Please support the effort. The Keeping Society outside work at the Medad Stone Tavern from 9 am to 12pm.  Dates: Jan.29, Feb. 26, Mar. 26, April 23, May 28...clearing vines, trails etc. bring gloves and clippers. 

3.      ROCK JOCKS spearheaded by Sean H, Matt P & Adam C…interested in going to Prime Climb?...or boldering at Chatfield Hollow?...see Sean, Matt or Adam  

4.      Pack 475 & 472 Cross Over Scouts – submit applications to Mr. Town ASAP so we can be sure to get you up on the roster and into newly forming patrols.

5.      April 8th Pack 472 Cross Over – Huge Success; New Scouts present yourselves to be welcomed by Troop 474

6.      FOOD DRIVE – COLLECT FOOD – DO NOT WAIT- DO YOUR DUTY.  Troop 474 spearheaded by Mr. Terwilliger is anchor for Packs 472,475 and Troop 471 & 474.  Hoo Rah Mr. T. Adam Casinelli Troop Guide will serve as Food Drive Police…Patrol Leaders have a responsibility to drive your patrols.

7.      4/21 NO MEETING – No school no meeting rule…However there may be brief meeting for those backpacking that weekend to sort out some gear & meals

8.      April 23 & 24 – Appalachian Trail Back Pack Trip to Wiley Shelter CT NY border - moderate backpack venue see separate hand out. Depending on scout level and scout mix of interest, variation of trip may evolve into something bigger. 

9.      First Aid – Mrs. Jagielski and Co. (i.e. Dr Mayor) will continue to conduct First Aid sessions each week. Thank you Mrs. J.

10. April 28th & May Weekly Meetings – will be either at Pecoraro’s house to work on Strawberry Social Tower or at Church depending on weather. Stay alert to announcements regarding meeting location. Tentatively plan April 28th Meeting at Pecoraro starting promptly at 7:00 or soon as you arrive to work with daylight!!!

Travel north on Rt. 77 to Rt. 80 Turn Left (East)on Rt. 80 Travel on Rt. 80 approximately1 mile to Northwood. Turn left on Northwood Drive (If Valley Motel, then too far). Travel up Northwood to Barnshed. Turn Right on Barnshed. 88 on right

11. May 14-15 Cape Cod Bike Ride and camping – Thanks to Wood Duck Chairman Federici. Adventure will satisfy cycle merit badge requirements.

12. Strawberry Social is scheduled for June 5th. Mr. Heinemann, 474 Treasurer, among his many 474 fiduciary roles is keeper of the Scout Accounts Thank you Mr. Brechlin for chairing the event a second year in a row. Mr. Brechlin guarantees no rain.

13. Taste of Guilford Community Service June 26 Troop 474 does garbage patrol while consuming massive quantities of food & soda.

14. Camp Yawgoog – Week 2 - July 3rd to 9th – See Mr. Terwilliger for details. Thank you Mr. T.

15. August 8 Yankees vs. White Sox bus trip-contact Mr. Conrad 457 6937 or e mail him at therad@att.net. $40.
