March 31 - Sign up of boys that are interested in getting their First Aid
Merit Badge. It is an eagle requirement. Boys who have met
the requirements for second class and above can participate.
April 7 - Begin teaching the following requirements:
1. Procedures for lacerations and cuts
2. Symptoms and first aid for heat stroke. Heat stroke prevention.
3. Fist aid procedures for handling fractures using improvised materials
4. Treatment for suspected injuries to the back, neck and head. How to reduce the possibilities of complicating these injuries.
5. First aid procedures for hypothermia, convulsions, frostbite, burns and dehydration.
Homework will be to fill out a work sheet on the topics covered during the session. Plan session to run from 7:20 till 9:00.
April 14 – Rescue breathing and CPR – demonstration and practice on
dummies.
Homework will be to fill out work sheet on heart attacks and to prepare a first aid kit for their home.

April 28 - Treatment for bruises, strains and sprains, and muscle cramps

May 5 – Treatment for abdominal pain and knocked out teeth.

May 13 - Improvising a stretcher and teaching a skill to another scout.
